ANFS Awards for 2006

The America-Nepal Friendship Society (ANFS) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2006 ANFS Community Leadership Award and the ANFS Lifetime Achievement Award. These Outstanding leaders have not only improved the lives of Nepali and American individuals in the US and Nepal, they have also measurably strengthened institutions within those same communities.

Their impact is felt directly in the health, arts, government, business, community building, and education sectors. In all their activities they have time and again amply demonstrated their leadership skills, initiative, passion, motivation, courage, enthusiasm, and inspiration. The ANFS Awards and Recognition Committee is honored to present the following individuals with this year’s ANFS Community Leadership Award and ANFS Lifetime Achievement Award for outstanding service to the Nepali community locally and in Nepal. Following the ANFS tradition, the awards will be presented at the Nepali New Year event on April 8, 2006 in New York.

ANFS Rewards and Recognition

It has been a tradition of ANFS to celebrate Nepali New Year and we are getting ready to have a fun-filled evening on April 8, 2006. Each year, ANFS recognizes a select number of people for their outstanding contributions to our communities locally and/or in Nepal. This year is no exception.

ANFS Awards and Recognition Committee is inviting nominations from or on behalf of prospective candidates (both Nepali community members and friends of Nepal). Nominee(s) recommended by the Awards Committee will be recognized at the New Year’s function.

Please help us by spreading the word around.
